Cooperation Projects Assistant

Goal

The Cooperation Projects Assistant will be responsible for contributing to the administrative and logistics management of the various projects of the area, assisting the Development Projects Coordinator and the Head of Development and Cooperation.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support for managing cooperation projects, monitoring work schedules, communication with project partners and implementation of operational actions in general.
  • Leading dissemination efforts and engaging with the LACNIC community on ongoing cooperation projects, as well as supporting the external communication of the projects in collaboration with the Communications department.
  • Collaborating in the identification of funding opportunities and supporting donor relations.
  • Managing administrative aspects of the projects in accordance with LACNIC's procedures and standards.

Requirements

We are looking for a university student or recent graduate in Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, Anthropology, Sociology or Communication.

  • Proficiency in English (required); knowledge of Portuguese (desirable).
  • Prior experience in similar activities will be valued; an interest in participating in technology projects with a social impact will be prioritized over experience.
  • Availability to travel abroad.

The position offers

This part time position offers a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package. (6 hours/day)

Reporting

The position reports to the Development Projects Coordinator.

Software Developer

Position Goals

To analyze, design and develop software solutions for different areas and projects within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • To develop software projects for the Head of Development in response to the demands and expectations of internal clients.
  • To analyze system user requirements.
  • To analyze working frameworks and methodologies for the software team.

Qualifications

Technical degree or advanced student of Systems Engineering, or similar qualification.

Trained in systems development methodologies; knowledge of agile software development methodologies will be considered a plus. Proficient in English language (required); Portuguese (will be considered a plus)

Experience

At least one (1) year of experience performing similar tasks will be valued.

Additional Mandatory Requirements

Domiciled in or willing to relocate to Montevideo, Uruguay

Availability to travel abroad
